Peanut Butter & Hazelnut Chocolate Cupcakes

CL's Birthday Cupcakes
A very very late post indeed.

The year 2009 has seen me being quite active (and productive) in the kitchen, testing out recipes from 500 Cupcakes & Muffins by Fergal Connolly. Some were quite successful, some were rather a mess if not borderline disastrous.

Bakeover #3: Chocolate Stout & Black Bottom Cupcakes

Chocolate Stout Cake with Irish Cream Cheese Frosting
When it comes to chocolate, I'm pretty much sure 90% of us will be infatuated by this rich ingredient. From young kids to grown ups, many would indulge in the profound delight of chocolate.

I myself am a chocoholic -a rather picky one too. Dark chocolate makes me happy, and I simply detest white chocolate (which, IMHO, shouldn't even be called 'chocolate' as it doesn't contain any chocolate). Anyway, I love anything (dark) chocolate and wouldn't pass any offer of chocolatey dessert. Especially when they're spiked with alcohol.

More Sweetness in The Shelf

As the months have gone by in 2010, there have been some new addition of sweet titles in my bookshelf (or so, I hardly have any space left). I was excited. Evan, of course, was ecstatic.

The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook

First off, is the foolproof The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook. Got this as a gift from my uncle when he went to Singapore sometime last year. But I also have to thank CL for introducing me to this book. We've tried quite a few recipes here, from the glorious matcha cupcake, fluffy banana chocolate cupcake, decadent black bottom cupcake, to the sourlicious lemon poppy seed cake (the latter two posts to be published soon -promise); and they all made us sigh with pleasure and contentment.

New Family Member: Cinnamon

Hello, 2011!

Been experiencing some serious lack of commitment in updating the blog. So now let's start the year with a post about a new friend that I've got from my trip to Bangkok last November.

May I introduce you all to Cinnamon, the quiet but warm-hearted bunny.
